Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program

LIHEAP helps pay for heating bills for low income or the elderly through
the Cash program, which provides a one-time cash payment directly to a utility
company to help with the season's energy costs or the Crisis program which
assists eligible households with little or almost no fuel, electric, or
gas service that is threatened to be or has been shut off, a heating system
that is in need of repair or replacement, broken window panes and or frozen
heating pipes. The Crisis program will pay the cost of repairing a problem
