Lakeside Christian Early Learning Center—Providing a Nurturing and Caring Environment for Your Preschooler!
For over 10 years Lakeside Christian Early Learning Center has provided three to five-year-old preschool children with a nurturing and caring environment where they can develop a love for learning and have a positive first experience with school. Lakeside Christian ELC is affiliated with Glad Tidings Church, Reading.
The programs at Lakeside offer a combination of child-centered and teacher-directed activities. We realize play is vital to learning and Lakeside provides opportunities for children to learn as they play. Repetition and active hands-on learning are keys to teaching pre-schoolers. We also use songs, visual aids, and “real” objects to involve the child’s five senses into his or her learning experience.
Our facility offers all that a young child needs to explore and learn. Classrooms are located inside Glad Tidings Church, which includes a large gymnasium, state-of-the-art audio/video equipment and a well-equipped playground.
In addition to on-site activities, each class takes various field trips and participates in holiday celebrations throughout the year.

My daughter was extremely well-prepared for kindergarten, and my son, who is currently enrolled in the Junior Kindergarten program, loves going to preschool and is looking forward to kindergarten with the many skills he has learned!”

Preschool Classes for the 2010-2011 school year include:
3-year old class: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-11:30 a.m.
4-year old class: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9-11:30 a.m.
Pre-Kindergarten (4 & 5 year olds): Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:30- 3 p.m.
Junior Kindergarten (4 & 5 year olds): Monday- Friday from 9:15- Noon
Summer Camp runs from June 7th to July 30th, 2010. (Children can sign up for the entire session or on a week-by-week basis).

Lakeside Christian Early Learning Center is affiliated with Glad Tidings Church, Reading. Glad Tidings is dedicated to offering services that are designed to be powerful and inspiring. We have a place for everyone, whether you are single, married, a parent, teen or child, our mission is to make church a creative, relevant and life-changing experience for you each week. Service times are Saturday @ 6 p.m. and Sunday @ 9 & 11 a.m. We offer Crossroads Kidz Ministry for children birth-fifth grade during every service.
